i was watching apollo 13
if the launch was april 11 1970
question #1 tom hanks corvette
apears to have amber turn signal lights, thus late 71 or 72
the other vette appears to be war bonnet yellow also
71 or 72. so did ron howard need a vette expert on
this film or is it me just daze and confused.
please straighten me out if you know

I think it was a 72 LT-1 used in the film if I remember right.

yep it was a 1972 lt-1....must have been cool back then just about all the astronauts were given vettes if they were selected to go up. :chevy

There was an article about the actual corvettes that were given to the astronauts in one of the corvette magazines in the last year.
Just thoughtyou might like to know.
