$6,600?!?!?!?!?!
Yep...I always look for older, interesting Hot Wheels when I'm at the swap meet/flea market. You never know...

I was standing outside Target one morning before they opened (9:55am). There was a crowd of 10+ weird lookin' dudes (kinda like Trekkies or Star Wars geeks, but different), all talking amongst themselves. I couldn't hear what they were talking about, but there was a "buzz" in the air.

When the store opened, these doinks RAN toward the toy section. I followed, but not too closely (didn't want to mistakenly be identified as a fellow doinkus) and saw what they were after...Hot Wheels! Apparently this was the first day of release of some special edition. They were digging and scrounging and found nothing. They ran back to their cars and raced off...assumedly to the next closest Target. Apparently the special editions aren't distributed equally, so these "collectors" have to run around and loot Target's toy departments throughout the city until they hit pay-dirt.

Geez...

I guess it's easier/cheaper to fill your garage with Hot Wheels than C-3's...and they don't need new trailing arms.
