Default 81 seats in a 75???

What modifications would I have to make to get some seats from an 81 into my 75? Thanks :confused: :confused: :confused:

search the archive, but I'm pretty sure unless they're power seats they should just bolt in.

Easy job.

The '81 seat tracks will not fit the '75 floor pan. If you look at the front of the '81 tracks, you will see a bracket about 1.5 " tall. I used my '75 tracks, made a spacer and used a longer Grade 8 bolt for the front of the seat. Had to trim a little bit of the seat bucket to clear the adjustment lever (invisible with the seat in the car).

Works great and much more comfortable.

Mine Bolted right in. Was not a problem and seats are much more comfortable

Steve G. I like the looks of your 75 convertible. I have one as well which I am refreshing to be a nice driver and to take to local car shows. I see you have done several modifications to the car. I would like to know what you have done. Particularily to the engine and suspension. Have you done anything to stiffen up the frame or body?
