Default T-Top question

Hi guys, Is the triangular headed bolt that supports the rear outside corner of the t-top supposed to fit completely up inside the chrome receptacle on the top? On the right side of the 73 that I'm assembling the bolt adjustment will only let the head go in about 1/2 way. This does not look right to me. But to get more adjustment out of the bolt looks like a major project. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Craig :flag

The tri bolt should fit it the ttop.

There are two adjustments. 1 the tri bolt turns 2 the plate that the tri bolt is screwed into has three screws that allow the plate to move.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, I know how to adjust the bolt, but it does not adjust outward enough to fit in the top completely. The sliding plate behind the body hits the bird cage not allowing the bolt to go outward enough. Craig

Craig

When you say "outward" are you talking about to the outside of the car?

How do the tops align with the outside of the body? You might need to loosen the center pins to get the top towards the center of the car more.
