OK. Looked at "69" vette this morning .......
To refresh your memory http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=478708 and thank-you to all who responded. I took " some " pics, but this car needs more work than I can imagine. I know VERY little about repairs, so almost any work would have to be done by someone else. While I try to figure out where I can post these pics ( AOL has changed and I'm having trouble with the pic part ), here's the Vin, in case someone can check it. This car is way out of my league but may be a good parts car. It does have Chrome spoke wheels with the corvette emblems in the center. Vin is : 194379S709594 ..... think they might take around 2K for it, no bumpers with car either. Will try to get pics up later. ......... Thanks, Richard

I am also not very "handy"; just the most simple things are within my personal abilities. So, when I was looking for a car, I wanted one someone else had already done most, if not all, of the work.
I really feel this is the best way to go for someone with little experience making their own repairs. I would keep looking until you find just the right car for you.

Sounds like one of those projects where if you do the proper financial analysis, ie start with value of complete finished restored vehicle ($25,000), and subtract all the costs of getting it to that point ($35,000), you end up with a negative value for the car (-$10,000). This is especially true if you would have to pay someone else to do the work. Since it is unlikely that the owners would pay you $10,000 to take the car off their hands, you move on to something else! :) MJ
