Well one thing you don't want to do is -------wash it, trust me on this one!

You might try taking a plastic dog brush to it , to just comb out the heavier grime, dirt, dust, etc. This will fluff it up for some extended use, other than that you just have to shake the sh#$%^%^t out of it, before and after each use.

But , if it's really pretty ugly as you say, then hey, they are cheap and a new one should not break anyone's bank account. :seeya

i thought it said not to wash it. thanks! i park it at storage, which has a dirt/rock road. so it gets dirty every time i pull it out. i think i'll try the brush idea.

Depending on age, tell the wife it's for her car and get another. :)

If you buy another, can I have the handle off the one you have now? Mine is broken in half from being in the trunk of my old car :banghead: :lolg:

Slam it down real hard on your car's hood!

Well.... maybe not on the hood, but I thought you were supposed to shake the dirt out of them by knocking them up against a wall, a door, another duster, something like that. :) MJ

ahhh! I see Greg gave you the "correct" answer in the middle of his post!

I just blow any of the loose stuff out with the air hose every once in a while--seems to be holding up ok.
