Manual trans bracket, what funtions does it serve?
That black bracket at the rear end:
See one on the t-5 I bought and am not sure what it does and if I need to try to hook it up. My muncie does not have one like that.

your Muncie's bracket is attached to the frame......not sure what the purpose the Tremec bracket....since that is a top loader

your Muncie's bracket is attached to the frame......not sure what the purpose the Tremec bracket....since that is a top loader
Hummm, don't remember anything but a tranny mount last time I pulled it so I will have to check it out when I pull the muncie tonight. Maybe bubba forgot/left it off before me. :confused:

I believe that some models use a torque arm from the rear end to that bracket. You would not use it in a C3.

That's what I'm talking about, the bracket that the shifter is mounted to.
Also double as the exhaust hanger brackets.
Did some prelim measurements and if I can get the exhuast to fit I should be able to mount it like it is in the f-body and use the hyd clutch and the stock t-5 shifter may even line up right through the existing hole in the trans tunnel.
