Final Window Adjustment on Convertible
When a convertible top in first put in place, how do you adjust the electric windows to fit and properly close with the top in the 'up' position?

First off, remove door panel, then you see a ton of 7/16 bolts all over the place, most of them are an adjustment of some type...do the obvious....if it's in a slot, flashlight what it is, and adjust accordingly...not too hard to figger out...PIA though....make sure the power/carnk mechanism is tight in the door skin/frame first....you may want to degrease the tracks as most lube is long since dries out and acts like glue...

Re: Final Window Adjustment on Convertible (mrvette)
There is a procedure outlined in the AIM, and in the Chassis Service Manual. The adjustment is fairly complex. There are adjustments for fore/aft, up/down, in/out, and "tilt". As Gene said, it's a real PIA. You can spend HOURS fooling with these adjustments. Chuck

If you have a Chilton manual for 68 to 82 Corvette, it explains fairly well.
I am at work right now and will be home in the morning. I will scan the page and email it to you. Let me know after you get it if you have any questions.
I have done it a couple of times, and Chuck is right, it is a PITA.
