Default Stupid question RE: Brakes

This is really stupid, and shows how much of a retard I am when it comes to brakes...

Both chambers on master cylender should be full of brake fluid, right? My brake pedal pressure is massive, I really have to haul on the brakes to get it to stop, finally I looked at the resivoir, and the back chamber is almost empty. Is that right?

Stupidly, :conehead

Yes Both should be full. If you have a real hard pedal it sounds like you are having a problem with the booster. First check that you are pulling vacuum, then make sure you valve plugged into the booster is operating correctly.

Hope this helps.
