Yes - the short ones that go from the junctions on the crossmember to the calipers.
What is this, National TA Removal Week?

Budman78,

You might see if you can get a copy of the Van Steel Suspension Video. It helps to see somone take the suspension apart (the car in the video came apart LOTS easier than mine did).

One segment shows them disconnecting the caliper and hanging it up out of the way while removing the rear spindle. Be sure to put a block (wood) between the brake pads to keep the pistons inside the calipers.

My brakes were in dire need of repair, and I was replacing most components, so I just cut the brake lines off. If the brake hoses have much age I would replace them.

What a Great Idea for a National Holiday! However, it would have to be a two-day holiday for C3 owners.

Dang, I didn't want to have to bleed the system. You know if it ain't broke, don't break it. Thanks for the tips.

No, just saw a slot and bend away from the hole. Someone told me that years ago and mine have been slotted since.

He means, remove the clip that holds the flexable brake hose onto the bracket on the trailing arm. Pull the hose out of the bracket a little and then cut the bracket in the center of the hole. take a pair of pliers and bend one side of the bracket JUST ENOUGH to be able to slip the metal tubing out of it.

Mine were already cut when I got the car, so I know someone had been there before me. It sure makes it a lot easier not having to deal with the brakes.
