Yes - the short ones that go from the junctions on the crossmember to the calipers.

Budman78,
You might see if you can get a copy of the Van Steel Suspension Video. It helps to see somone take the suspension apart (the car in the video came apart LOTS easier than mine did).
One segment shows them disconnecting the caliper and hanging it up out of the way while removing the rear spindle. Be sure to put a block (wood) between the brake pads to keep the pistons inside the calipers.
My brakes were in dire need of repair, and I was replacing most components, so I just cut the brake lines off. If the brake hoses have much age I would replace them.

No, just saw a slot and bend away from the hole. Someone told me that years ago and mine have been slotted since.

Mine were already cut when I got the car, so I know someone had been there before me. It sure makes it a lot easier not having to deal with the brakes.
