how fast was stock
ok if you bought a 81 vette from the show room floor, broke it in, and took it to the strip with the 4 speed, and 287 rear end, what did it do in the quarter, i ask because i was only 1 at the time and now that ive moded my 81 i wanna see what kind of improvement it has, thanks old guys who can actually anwser this question :lol: no offence ment.

It could be worse, just think if you had one of the California mandated 305 cid motors!

p.s. Actually the times would have probably been a lot lower if they used slicks. Perhaps slicks off a Schwinn or a Huffy! Seriously though, the car has all the makings of a solid, fast, comfortable beast. Just look at Neil Carboni's car, AWSOME!

Well my old tired out 81 is close .
16.448 Seconds at 83.86 MPH.
The only mods are a Hypertec Chip, K&N Air filter and a Test pipe eliminating the Cat Plus a B&M Shift Kit
The rest all stock and 72,000 Miles on the odometer.
