Default Anybody Driving the Vette to NCRS in Orlando?

I hear the NCRS meet is soon approaching. Any forum members planning a day-trip (barbecue?) in the Orlando area?

I remember Silvervetteman had something a few years back at his home in Orlando. I remember Paul Borowski stopped in with his brood (flew down), Steve was there with a buddy in a mid-year (I think it was mid-year) and I drove my 2001. Sure would like to cruise over in my C3 this year.

Let me know if y'all are planning anything formal! :seeya

Ted- you need to get out from under that 80 a little more  ;) No BBQ at Larry's this year so a bunch of us are meeting Saturday night for dinner. I'm driving my 81 up on Friday and I'm sure others will drive theirs too, I know 69myway is bringing his down. I'll have a tent set up, look for the red shark :D Stop in for details on dinner.

Scott (sorry for the 'Steve'... )

Any idea on the Whereabouts where the red tent will be? Will it have a 'corvetteforum.com' sign on it? I might cruise over early Saturday morning and enjoy the NCRS festivities. May be a good day to get out of Dodge if weather is good (Tampa).

Wife agrees. The mistress (C3) gets way too much attention

Thx for any info. :seeya

TedH, yeah that was alot of fun when we had the BBQ over at silvervetteman's. Unfortunately, due to a job "promotion" which is a good one, I now have Thurs & Fri "OFF", working almost every weekend-yeah, I know it sucks, but it does pay the bills  I'm going to be a little more "selective" in where I'll be able to go this year due to this new work schedule-right now I'm planning on Stone Mountain NCRS Regional, St.Louis Regional, SevenSprings Regional, NCRS Nats at Hershey, Bloomington and THE BIG ONE, Corvettes@Carlisle

ps TedH, still have'nt even opened your manifolds from your '80. There just sittin' in their box next to wife's ricer('90 Camry, lowered, spoilers, neons, Nitto's, NOS..............................Juuuuuu uuuuust kiddin') :lolg: :lolg: :lolg:

Paul,

Enjoy the manifolds and heat riser. Included a mixture of bolts, washers and a few manifold studs too.

Sounds like a busy (Corvette vacation) schedule. I think I'd have to separate from my wife if I used my vacations that way  Heck, I suspect that if I pop the idea of driving to NCRS this Saturday, there will be fireworks (due to my spending last 4-5 weeks over and under the vette making repairs). We'll have to see...

Enjoy :seeya

Hey, we might as well be seperated :p:

Plus, I think that was Corvette Addict Rule #16, Family Vacations Shall Consist of Corvette Functions-oops, got to get off Forum, wife just popped in :seeya

Thanks for the complinent guys. I had a lot of thing happening all in a couple of short weeks this year AND I couldn't get a guarantee of warm weather this year., so we will have to wait until next year for a party.

Mr. and Mrs. Silvervettman always threw a VERY NICE BBQ get together, so next year will be much appreciated!!!!! :yesnod:

The way the weather forcast looks, we all would probably be better off indoors. I know I shouldn't complain about the cold (as compared to up north)
but these 40 degree nights are COLD for my south Florida blood, and Saturday's forcast for the Orlando shows even colder than that!

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Ted- I'll have a Shark Tank banner and from the looks of the show map I'll be up near where you enter the swap meet...I think anyway, the map is pretty bad. It's not going to be the same this year with no BBQ but I think we are going to have a good number of C3 guys show up and have a little dinner Saturday night. Everyone start the warm weather dance now, Marc is right it doesn't look like it will be t-shirt weather this time.

hunt4cleanair- stop by and say HI, feel free to join us for dinner Sat night, that goes for everyone. We have a C5 color combo like that in town but I think it's a hard top or Z06.

Ted- hope you make it without getting on the wifes bad side :D

Here's the Kissimmee weather report for the next couple days, not terrible but a little cool for us thin blood Geezerville types :D

Fri
Jan 24 Mostly Sunny 52°/31°
Sat
Jan 25 Mostly Sunny 63°/38°
Sun
Jan 26 Partly Cloudy 65°/39°
