Another header question
I checked with Jet-Hot and they have two sets of headers to fit my 74 BB. Headman's for $429 and Hooker Super Comps for $649. My biggest concern now is the fit. I'm currently running a set of BlackJacks. After a bunch of research I couldn't find a set that was ever made for a bigblock vette. The only one's listed are for Camaro's & Chevelle's. I'm wondering if that is what is on my car because the clearence between the fenderwells is almost zero & they run down the side of the block so close that I can't remove the starter. For those of of you running Headmans or Hookers on your bigblocks do you have any of these clearance problems ? Would you happen to have any part numbers ?
Thanks for your help,
Scott

Not to answer your question, but just a comment.
A couple of months ago, someone reported here that JetHot was giving a 10 percent discount to Corvettefourm members, but that you had to ask for the discount. I am not sure if it is true, but when I buy my headers I will be asking for the discount just in case.

Thanks! I checked into it & was told that members get a 20% coating discount. With the discount the above headers would be $600 delivered.

Re: Another header question (Porch40)
With my 1 7/8 supercomps, I really don't have any clearance problems and I can finangle my starter out without removal but it's not easy. The 1 7/8 seem to fit better then the larger tubes, everyones that I've seen with the 2" primaries has had to modify them in someway.
