Which "Corvette" magazine is the best?
Of the different 'vette' magazines out there, which one gives you your money's worth. I've been deluged by a number of offers for magazines and don't know which (if any) to subscribe to. Any suggestions?

I like them all as well, but Cars & Parts Corvette is probably the best! They definitely show more C3 pics!!

when the title says"corvette magazine" what you usually get is " C-5" corvette magazine! very little concernign sharks per issue. i say screw the magazines and just use the forum for all your vetting needs!

I won't subscribe due to the lack of C3 content and a lack of performance oriented material in general. I like reading about the Top Flight, NCRS correct 97% car, but I really like reading more than 1 paragraph about vettes on the track!
Did you guys see the Vette magazine article on Cheap Corvette racing? It was pathetic. Very little info on the people, cars, rules etc. Pretty much a one page filler.
Just take a look at Excellence magazine for the Porsches. Much better. Better tech, better articles, more performance, more information etc. I think it has better writing IMHO, but that is subjective. The articles are more informative and have more depth.
Maybe it's Corvette owners in general. Maybe they think that we are more interested in who is making the most correct paint for the drips on the undercarriage, or care that the tire is dimensionally correct. Porsche guys are interested in one thing, going fast, driving fast and whipping on Corvettes and Ferrari's all day long. They want bigger wheels, better tires, bigger sway bars, poly bushings, aluminum bushings, alloy this, alloy that, light weight body panels, RS doors, K29 Turbo upgrades, Bilstein struts, solid engine mounts and all that goes with it.
I know that most of you guys care about that stuff as do I. I love whipping on Ferrari's and Porsches (they are tougher. Ferrari guys give up easy).
I have written, but it falls on deaf ears.

I'll pick up a Vette Vues or Cars and Parts Corvettes but could care less for the others. To bad they only put out 6 issues a year though but have some good stuff in them.
I like reading Hot Rodding, Car Craft, Super Chevy and Chevy High Performance.

I probably won't renew Corvette Fever . . . there just doesn't seem to be much in it.
My vote is for Cars & Parts . . . but it'll be interesting to see if they can maintain the quality and breadth of the articles now that they've recently gone monthly.

When you take the train for 1.5 hrs twice a day you look for anything good to read. To me, if it has the word Corvette in it, it's good to read. I suscribe to these:
Corvette Fever (Have back issues back to 1990 which have come in very handy)
Vette
Corvette Magazine (New)
And others I subscribe to (Beats the Wall Street Journal):
Street Rodder
Street Rod Builder
SuperRod
SuperChevy
Chevy High Performance
Car Craft

Vette
Corvette Magazine (New)

The "new" Corvette magazine is not bad, and Car and Parts Corvette is good also. Neil I believe Cars and Parts is going monthly, or they are supposed to soon. JCL :yesnod:

I completely agree with you. There needs to be a mag that talks about modifying the vettes to top performance, more in depth projects for better brakes, engines, trannies, suspension, tires, wheels, backspacing, lowering, etc...
I think the Vette public is just as interested in this as any Porsche public is.
I like Cars and Parts but it is all about factory correct and factory specs, almost NCRS IMHO. The featured car stories are usually about how a certain car came from the factory and not really about how the exact car we were looking at was set-up.
I recently picked up Corvette Quarterly and Corvette Magazine and both were similar with relatively boring articles. Cover some C3 race cars in depth, then I'd wake right up!! Maybe the owners wont give up any juice on their cars?
I look at Vette mag and Corvette Fever as an attempt to cover more of the modified scene, but it sugar coats it. I think their writers budgets are low. My frustration to this is as your is.
Which mag have you written? I would also write them the same so maybe they start to hear this from different sources and could consider a discussion amoung the editors to change. After all, it is a business with customers - you and I!!

I agree that if you're looking for lots of substantial Tech how to articles and tips on how to repair or improve C3 performance, you're just NOT going to be satisfied with ANY of the "Vette" magazines.
Am not familiar with Cars and Parts Corvette, so maybe that's a pretty good one, but for performance information and pretty good tech articles, I really like Chevy High Performance magazine.

The new Corvette Magazine is pretty good.
I didn't renew my Corvette Fever subscription.

I have been thinking of starting a no nonsense magazine dedicated to the high performance Vette owner. It would have to cover all the models of course, but all content would be about high performance and modifications. I think I could get some capital together for such a venture. Maybe I will put out a post on all the boards and take a vote as to who would subscribe....
