Advice on buying a Vette, part II.
Thanks for the advice to my previous posting. In response to a question from the other post, when I said I have seen nice looking ones in my price range I did mean on the internet and not in person. I know you can make a real turd look great in pictures! An example of what I have seen on the internet is http://adcache.collectorcartraderonl.../39784740.htm. I also found a local 78 silver ann. edition for sale, supposed to be all original with 58,000 miles, always garaged until recently, new baby forces sale, $8500 obo very motivated seller. Going to take a look at it today or tomorrow and will try to get some digital pics and get your opinions. Thanks again for the help and I will try not to be too much of a PITA during my search. LOL

Check out http://vettefever85.tripod.com/ownvette.html It will also give you year specific problems to look out for. It will also give you a good Idea of what to look for and what to ask to get started.
Good Luck. I wish I would have found the forum before buying my money sponge!

Sounds like a good deal already......and I haven't seen it.
Just check all the parts that can 'age' ....plastic, vinyl, rubber, etc.
IF the car has been sitting a lot the brakes may not work all too well.
Be sure to inspect the ball joints in the front & U-joints in the rear.
The car sounds all orig. ~ so you're off to an excellent start.
