Corvetteforum will probably tell you differently on how to make your images(jpgs) appear, but the jpg below is exactly what I typed to make *image.jpg*(the typed info) appear here. Change the information to your host/account/jpg leaving all of the front & rear tags and your jpgs should come up in the forum.

It's a big image and I don't know if you can use height and width parameters in the img token, but I think the pictures in the signature are automatically resized now anyway.
So, I think your image statement should just look like...
<img>http://www.picturejudge.com/memberpics/arts81vette/images/883325-R1-10.jpg</img>
Just substitute the correct markers around the img token: [ for < and ] for >
