Okay, you sound young so here are some question for you and answers from me;

1)How much is your Vette worth?
2)Do you have limited mileage with your coverage?
3)Do you have “Agreed Value” of your Vette with your insurance and for how much?
4)Do you have full coverage including collision and full glass?
5)Last but not least, is it insured under your name?

My answers
1)$18,000 to $20,000
2)No
3)Yes, $25,000
4)Yes
5)Me

With all the coverage I have above with NO limit on my milage, it's one hell of a deal....

Who is the carrier, Slickman ?

I have Liberty Mutual, and my 4 cars with full coverage is about $1000/yr.
I do not have agreed value - but never asked since the 75 was worth less
than the book.

I dumped State Farm for Geico and am saving $600 per year on my three cars (2001 LS1, 1980 L48, and 2002 Acura TL). AND My 2001's deductable dropped from $2000 to $1000.

State Farm raised my rates almost monthly in 2002. I dropped my coverage at the beginning of 2002 and by December '02, my coverage was higher (with less coverage) by about $60/month. Hate to think what it would have been if I hadn't dropped the levels of coverage.

Will see how Geico performs in 2003...

P.S. I have minimum coverage on my 1980 (liability). That may change. Will be looking into replacement coverage in 2003.

Aren't any of you guys running antique plates with classic insurance? I'm paying like 62 bucks every 6months with state farm, they just tell me to keep it under 5k miles a year. Easy enough since it's seldom driven all winter (once a month).

I pay $163 a year for full coverage from Hagerty insurance (they insure classic cars etc). It must be garaged and I must drive 5k miles or less per year (they prefer 2.5k, but there is some give and take). Since I live in Seattle, not much driving going on for 6 months of the year, so no biggie meeting the mileage requirement.
If I total my car, or it is stolen, they pay the full amount up to the limit set (mine is insured for $8k). As I imporve/upgrade, I will raise the value limit annually.
Check it out - beats paying full premiums from Allstate, Farmer's etc.
Shawn :D
