Default Anybody know of a MANUAL CHOKE KIT for a Q-Jet?

I've got an electric choke model, and the choke quit some time ago. Got it wired open, and winter makes for a grumpy start. Fires right off, then stalls. You can drive it within 15 seconds of starting if you play with the gas a bit at slow speeds. I'm considering a Holley 780 with a manual choke, but spent a small fortune on the Q-Jet,and it's only got 120,000 miles on it. Thaught I'd rebuild it and modify the choke to a manual.Any thaughts on mods,or should I spend the bucks for the Holley. :auto:

I have made a few over the years. It depends on which type of choke you have but everything must be fabbed and most of the time it ends up that pulling the choke opens it and closing the button closes it but if you know what is going on it's no trouble.
