Default More Steeroids info please.

I've seen the Vette artical and nothing is mentioned about ground clearance. Any photos I have seen show the installation with a "deep" oil pan. The rack appears to be as low as a deep oil pan. I've run deep oil pans and they drag. I wouldn't want any steering component in harms way. What is the relationship between the lowest point of the Steeroids converstion and the front cross member of the frame? I.E. is the conversion protected by the frame?

The Steeroids system does not compromise ground clearance. As mentioned to you already in the other thread your started, the oil pan is typically lower than the rack, even stock pans. As you can see from this photo, the rack is about even with the front crossmember, and for people that also use the VB transverse spring, the Steeroids system is about level with that as well.

Thanks for the reply and photo. I am running the Vette Brakes front monospring. I am glad to see that the Steeroids rack is not lower than the spring. I can live with that.
