My spark plug wires are currently routed down the rear sides of the block and down along the lower sides of the block behind the OEM 'v-shaped' covers that protect the wires for the 1-3 and 2-4 cylinders. 5-7 and 6-8 are just routed down the rear of the block and then come up 'under' the header pipes to attach to the plugs. I have to incorporate a 'loop' in the rear-most two cylinders' wires to keep them from resting against the hot headers (burnt one when I first added the headers in 2002).

Is this the best option or can I improve on it?

I've always thought the GM engineers were on acid when they decided on the stock wire routing.
I really like the way I set mine up. Very easy to work on or replace.

I'm guessing that if I ran the wires over the headers, I'd have extra length to resolve on the front two cylinders on both heads.

Looks like I'd need the equivalent of Accel "HEI, Over Valuve Covers, thru-80" wires vs. my stock "HEI, Under Headers" wires also.

The brand name on my wire holders is Made For You Smoothies. I bought them at a local speed shop. This just happens to be my 1970th post which would only be cool to me. :cool:
