The front rim... I've seen them on other vettes, are they a GM rim? Also, is there anywhere I can buy rims that look like this with different backspacing than 3.5 inch? Thanks!

yes they are a factory gm rim for vettes.

Check the back cover of a current Corvette Fever magazine. They have and all chrome version shown

Yes that is the original Corvette alu rim. The back spacing is 4" on that wheel and it's a 15"x8" wheel :yesnod:

doh! i must have measured wrong... i thought they were 3.5 inch backspacing and a 9 inch wide rim, unless i have a knock off? to measure the backspacing i just measured frim the back side of where the wheel lugs go, to the outside of the flang... :confused:

Backspacing is the distance from the part of the rim that mounts to the hub to the edge of the rim. If the rim is bare, put a straightedge on the backside (the part that faces the center ot the car) and measure the distance to the flat part of the center. If the tire is mounted, measure the distance from the sidewall to the the hub and from the rim to the sidewall. Subtract the distance from the rim to the sidewall.
