Cam Purchase, Need Help
I plan on changing my cam out in the very near future. Here is the cam I'm looking at (it was recommended to me by Norval). Both Norval and Jim(427_hotrod) seemed to really like it. Here is the cam:
Crane Cams F-256/3634-2S-8
Make: Crane Cams
Lifter: Solid Flat Tappet
Intake Duration @ .050": 256
Exhaust Duration @ .050": 264
Intake Lift: .610"
Exhaust Lift: .630"
Lobe Center: 108
I checked Jeg's online and can't seem to find the cam, I also checked Crane Cams website but the link was down. Is there another part number that I need? Thanks guys!

Also, Jegs is $181.98 for the cam and lifters, $376.97 for cam, lifters, and springs. (Very serious springs...)
Summit is $179.94 for cam/lifters, $369.93 for the three. Save 7 bucks, if you're interested. Though the springs are B/O @ Summit. (May be able to find an alternative, perhaps even for less.)

*edit to reply* No problem! Killing time before I have to go to school. :)

Give Summit a call, from what i understand they have many more parts than listed on the website or even in their catalog. They can proably order it if they don't have it in stock.
I see you are going for a new cologne fragrance: Essence of Fuel, popular with biker chicks I hear. One of my old girlfriends said she loved it when I would work on my car cuz I smelled like exhaust after, and funny thing is she actually meant it! :)

Re: Cam Purchase, Need Help (Fevre)
Steve:
Thanks for the info bud. Now it's time to start pinching pennies.
Fevre:
You guessed it right! My current 294S cam doesn't give me the smell I'm going for...I think the added overlap of the 108 lobe seperation should do the trick :D.
NOTE:
I was just kidding about my current cam not giving me the right smell. I reak of exhaust after a short trip in my car. My girlfriend doesn't mind though.

Desktop dyno shows an increase of 20 horsepower at 6000RPMs over my current solid flat tappet. Sure am glad I have 4.11s with a 4 speed because I'd imagine my bottomend will be a little weaker than it already is.
