Default Anybody ever see a jet powered Corvette?

I've found a company that puts jet engines in... things. Boats, motorcycles, and cars.

The engine they use would be more suited for wow factor and top speed than say 1/4 mile but they say it produces 300 hp and runs on standard diesel fuel.

I think it would be really cool cruising around in a car with that wooshing air/whining turbine sound.

I'm still not sure on the forum linking rules (and they obviously aren't a supporting vendor) but this seems like so much of a niche market.... what the heck.

There's a link on the page "Can you put a turbine in MY car?" you ask. The Answer But I can't view the link.

Enjoy.

There was a thread here a few weeks ago about a turbine powered C-3 that looked pretty interesting. It appeared to be some kind of helicopter turboshaft engine that had been modified to connect to the stock drive train.

I've never put one in my vette, but as you can see in my sig I have put one "on" it. :D

That would be awsome. You could go driving around with Jay Leno and his rocket powered motorcycle!! :steering:

Does a spirited drive after an evening of chili and nachos count?

Only if the top is down! :auto:

With the top up I think it would constitute cruel and unusual punishement for your passenger. :D
