Re: how wide of a rim????? (stroked 76)
I am running some 1996 C4 wheels that are 9.5 inches wide in the back. They hang out about 1/4 inch or so on the outside, but fit ok on the inside. I would suppose with the right off-set, a 10" wheel could fit.
Problem with drag slicks is that they bulge at the sidewalls. That is where you will have to worry about rubbing the e-brake cable where it connects to the trailing arm.

Backspacing is the more important issue. If the extra width is all on the outside, then the skys the limit. Its the inner increase that can cause a problem. Personally, I think that tires that stick out from the edge of the wheelwell look tacky. Sticky tires and good burnouts are the ticket. Not nessisarly the width. Remember, the less bulkier the tire, the less power it will rob when yur gettin down the track.

Thanks Money Pit.......
I haven't picked up my guitar since 1991......I went to your web site and "Sweet Home Alabama" was playing. So picked up my guitar, tuned up and played along with your music "Sweet Home Alabama" .....I had a rip roaring good time.....When I was stationed in South Carolina, my friends and I, along with some nice fat doobies would jam and this was one of our favorite songs....Okay nuff of the guitar stuff.....
I'm looking for a set of the Weld Draglites like you have on your car.....Can you send me the spec's or part numbers off the ones you have?
Thanks again for the jam session. :seeya Cappy
