Rear window trim removal.

Re: Rear window trim removal. (QuickVet)
Aaron,
There's a tool for it that you can easily obtain - if you live in the US! I used a small flat blade screwdriver to get the trim off of my '81 (which I'd assume is the same as the '79?). Once you've sussed out how the clips hold the trim then it's an easy job with the screwdriver to just lever each clip in turn away from the trim. Apparently it's even easier with the correct tool (there's a couple of posts in the archives somewhere about this). Remove the small corner pieces 1st & don't pull to hard on the trim as it bends real easy. I found that once the corner pieces were removed then sliding the trim sideways in each direction several times tended to remove the years of dirt from around the clips, which made removal even easier.
