Default Awesome drive yesterday

The temp hit 74 yesterday, so decided on a little drive. The longest drive the car had seen in the past 6 months ws about 45 miles and none of it was extended 75+ miles per hour. Since my buddy was with me (easier to push with 2 people), we headed out to one of the scenic passes through one of the small mountain ranges surrounding Tucson.

First freeway trip, 75 miles per hour sustained, hugged the curves, great acceleration, no fluctuation of the temp or oil guages, 75 miles later arrived home. Within 10 minutes the upper radiator hose was cool enough to wrap my hand around, no leaks, no oil lose, started right up!

Not bad for a 32 year old car that sat 24 years, especially since the engine has yet to be rebuilt!

Glad next weekend will be as warm.

It did ease my fears regarding the money spent on this puppy to get her on the road. Unfortunately, if it keeps up this well, it's gonna be hard to convince the ife that I need more money to finish the job.

I drive my 68' quite a bit... I just love living in Florida... I usually drive at least 80 miles each week...
