KBD Targa 'mufflers' in the mail, what am I in for?
...or more accurately, what's the neighborhood in for? I have loud speakers (the cabin's already wind-noisy anyway) and don't mind drawing attention to myself. But how loud will these things really be? And can I expect them to be alot louder when I upgrade the engine? Either way, I'm excited to hear it!

I got them for my 81 and they only made it a little louder. But after replacing the cat with a new one, the car was a lot louder. The brackets broke off both mufflers after about a year and I had to make some new ones, but I still like the mufflers.

What are you in for? Sonic assault! :D I've got them on my '81 & love 'em. At idle the volume is a bit to quiet for me (no cat in the system & dual pipes). Cruising is OK, with a bit of a drone at about 50mph, although nothing that is annoying. The fun starts when you give it WOT. The 1st time I did that I immediately let off the throttle - I thought the world was ending. The neighbours actually like them, but I don't got to WOT when parking up in the garage!
A good side effect is that they're brilliant for getting rid of those idiots that tailgate you at 70mph. Just slow down a bit so that a large gap builds up between you & the car in front & then stamp on the fun pedal. They tend to hang back a bit after you've blown their eardrums out of their nostrils

Sounds fun! I don't have a cat, and I have true duals (only 2", don't ask...) so I'll probably do pretty well. Any other testimonials?
