Headlight warning lamp
My headlights work fine. They come up...lock into place, and they go down just fine too.
But when I do turn them on, the headlight warning light on the dash stays lit for about two minutes. Meanwhile the headlights are both ON and both locked in place.
What is causing this?

One of them is probably covered in crud, and not making contact immeadiately. Try removing them and cleaning them up making sure the switch can operate freely and it is in the right position(contact closed) when the headlight is fully up.

I would guess the lights are not fully locked up. Might just need a little oil to get that last quarter inch.
When you turn the switch on, it activates the warning light. When the headlights go up they push the switch which turns the warning light off.
Hope this helps.

Re: Headlight warning lamp (74FLCONV)
Easy fix...disconnect the sensor wire. Worked for me.
