Why was the post office 100 miles away?
I had a couple of bills to pay today ... and it was a pretty fine day out there too. :yesnod: I figgered I'd fill the Vette up with premium and hit the post office. When I got there, I was down to a quarter tank of gas and had driven 100 miles :lol: :yesnod: :) :blueangel:
And I was a good boy most of the drive, too. Just enjoying the day and the car. :blueangel: :blueangel:
On the Coast Highway though my right foot got stuck to the floor for a coupla gears and then there was a red light to stop for, while I still had that grin on my face. :cool:
Up pulls "little red ricer rocket" complete with decals and all. Fart muffler made all kinds of noise as he took off, and I just kind of stayed about 30 MPH because as you know they aren't worth the gas to waste. (and I had jst paid 1.90/gallon :mad :mad )
So red ricer boy and his girlfriend take off like a bat outta hell and I chuckle. Last I saw them they must have been going 100 MPH and at the speed I was going, they were a looong way ahead intentionally. I didn't want that fart noise to interfere with Creedence Clearwater! :) :yesnod: :lol:
So after five minutes or so, I'm still going up the road and I see them stopped by the Highway Patrol and the guy is getting out of his car ... and the cop has this look like he is ready for anything.
As I passed, the guy looks at me and I honk & wave to him :lol: :steering:

I can relate to all of the above,
The kid in the car with his girlfriend trying to show her how fast he is. Been there done that.
The Officer with the kid pulled over trying to tell him how dangerous that little stunt was. Been there done that.
The Guy with the Smile in the Vette tooling by and looking at his past...........Doing that,
