I was waiting for him to post also before saying anything. All I have to say is that with all of the Corvette guys out there last night...Did anybody actually see him do it or did the mysterious time slip just appear? :jester :hat :hurray:

Thanks Nunus79......
Maurice,.......You missed out on a great run....You have to get off the computer and get down to the track on time....I'm not going to wait down at the track while I have a car pulling on the bit.....She wants to go. Wish we had video's....I found out why she's was falling on her face just before the quarter mile....Seems the stock fuel lines are too small....I have the Holley Blue Pump and my fuel pressure is set for 10 psi.....By the time I get to the end of the quarter, I sucked the line pressure down to zero. BSM says I need larger fuel lines...Another project.
Thanks again guys for all the support....Yipeee....another 11's C-3....Like the guy said on Hot Rod T.V......Any body can maintain a car stock and original......It takes a real man to hack up a perfectly good car for racing. :D :seeya Cappy

Re: Bionic 8T1 in the 11s! (C3 Shark Tank)
C3 Shark Tank,
I LMAO  when that guy said that....Because I'm about to commit to the dark side with roll bars and more HP....That new GM Big Block is mighty potent....However if I go up, I'd prefer the Bill Mitchell 427 small block racing engine with the aluminum heads.....That's a Small Block with lots of *****.
Currently the car has 3:70 rear gears turning beefed up half shafts w/spicer zerkless u-joints..... shortened drive w/spicer zerkless u-joints.....shaft hooked up to a 700R4 police interceptor racing trans with 9 clutch red pack....tied into a Super Yank 3500 converter attached to a B&M flexplate....bolted to a Bill Mitchell 484 HP 485 TQ 415 cu crate engine.....Complete VB mono spring system up front with VB rear suspension system including Van Steel offset trailing arms on MT ET Streets.......Summit Racing line lock....which is absolutely useless.....With the front brakes locked up.....she pushes the car out of the water box......Lots of smoke,....I just can't sit still in the box. :D :seeya Cappy

Olivier,
Try the MT ET Streets.....You''ll be very happy with them....they get very sticky when hot. :seeya Cappy

The ET Streets are pretty good tires.. They are just like slicks...

is your Holley blue pump in the rear?
It might surprise you that I'm still using the stock type fuel pump with the return line. My pressure gauge reads 6 psi at anything above idle and I've never been able to run my 825 cfm Race Demon out of gas even at WOT for over 20 some seconds. That's doing a standing start to @150 mph

Yep.....It's a Holley Blue Pump located below the gas tank mounted to the frame......I think the metal line inside the frame is too small for my fuel demand.....what do you think? :seeya Cappy

It has been my experience that the pump impellers deteriorate. I have also found that the pumps last longer when you use a regulator with a return line system. I can’t say for sure, because I don’t know everything about carbs. But I think 10 psi is too much pressure. I never run anything much over 6-8 psi. I can’t see your 415 using that much more fuel than my 383 . So i don't think that you need a larger line unless you have a crimp in it.
Fuel starvation is a hard thing to figure out. I’ve had friend’s cars at the strip that went into misfire lean popping down near the 1000 ft mark and it was traced to the bowls drying up.

Another very cool thing I noticed on Saturday night was the sound that your engine was pumping out in the pits. It sound just as mean as the trailered Pro Gas race car parked next to you. Pretty soon you'll be taking on and beating trailered race cars too. Make that your next goal :reddevil
Talk to George about rollcages too. He'll steer you right.
Way to Go

Re: Bionic 8T1 in the 11s! (nunus79)
Thanks nunus79,
I have asked around about Chrome molly roll bars with the removable side bars...To see who knows how to install.
I beleive the Dark Warroir was a trailered car...he cut a perfect light .500 on slicks, completely gutted with roll bars and single driver seat....special fuel tank on race gas....I guess he was having a bad night.
I'd like to take the car into deep 10's or a high 9's.....However that would mean taking mine down to the bare minimum...Remove the A/C, passenger seat, Weld Pro Star rims with skinny's on the front, and install the 210 AFR heads with the roller cam I have sitting in my storage room right now.
 :reddevil :seeya Cappy
