If you are using braider hose and AN fitting to plumb your Hydraboost, what are you using for the second fluid return line (the one originally equipped with a barbed fitting). I assumed it was a simple 1/8" NPT, but it's actuall 5/16-24. I looked in both the Earl's and Aeroquip catalog and neither company offers any AN adapter fittings with a 5/16-24 thread. I was planning on using a -04 hose for this one, so I need a 5/16-24 to -04 adapter.

I ran into the same thing Monty , in the end I machined a piece of brass to the suitable dimensions and used some std braided oil resistant line for the return line . I used the braided teflon lined power steering line for the hi pressure lines .

too bad it wasn't a 1/8" NPT. It would be alot easier. I briefly considered pulling the Hyrdaboost out, disassembling it, and drilling retapping that hole for 1/8" NPT, but it seems like too much work. I guess I'll just use a piece of braided hose with the hose clamps and AN look-a-like hose ends. Not my preferred plumbinh method, but it doesn't seem like there's a fitting that will work.

Earl's makes adapters for braided hose to hard line, but I don't have a catalog handy. If you have a Barnett Performance catalog look in there, or call them at 800-533-1320. Maybe one of those fittings for 5/16 tubing to -4 line will do the trick if you use it over the barb fitting.
