Lookin' good, are you going to install a blow off/blow down tube. Mine isn't finished either and I am looking at installing only what is nessessar so I am debating blow down tubes and fuel pressure switches. :D

Motorhead , i didnt go with a fuel pressure switch this time figuring its fuel injected this time, and havent decided on a blow down tube yet,i most likely will though before i go to the track.

Pat,

Looks really nice. Taking your time to make it clean is worth it, plus its easier to track down any potential issues (95% of which are electrical in a nitrous system). I have installed several kits, and have one in my Z06 and am considering it in my '69. The motor will easily handle a conservative shot of giggle-gas.

I'm primarily concerned with having to drill holes to mount the bottle. Hate doing that to this car. :( Plus, I have to get the bottle oriented so that the folded convertible top (its always down) will not interfere with it. Did you just drill holes and run tapping screws to mount the bottle, or what?

I'm not the familiar with what's under that "trunk" space. Anything I should watch out for as far as bottle placement? Yours looks good to me. :)

Have fun!

I have a question. From the picture it appears the nozzles are on the front side of the throttle body. Is this correct? Is it activated with a WOT switch so it can't spray if the throttle blades aren't wide open? I ask because I had a kit for my C4 and it located the nozzles between the throttle body and the plenum.

i will be using 2 ways to control the nitrous one with a rpm activated switch from msd set at 3500 rpm and a microswitch mounted at the throttle body for wide open throttle only, the system your talking about is a plate setup that fits between the throttle body and the plenum.

WA 2 FST -> If it help any my bottle is bolted to a 3/4 in pressboard ( painted the same color as my interior ) mounted in the back, I also bolted my 2 Bose 301's to it so I didn't have to drill any holes. Haven't exactly figured out how to keep the pressboard itself from sliding forward but I don't think that will be a problem. :D

Well, that's what I'd be concerned about. I have certainly considered mounting it to some board and carpeting the board, but this would also be a major no-no at any _real_ racetrack...not that my car will make more than one pass down the strip anyway. ;) Being a convertible, I'm out after one sub-13.99 pass which I could do missing a gear or two.

But I'd also like it to be very safe for street use. Obviously, the worst case scenario is an accident, and a 24lb (gross weight) full nitrous bottle flying around is a missle in a case like that. :(

If you have it wedged somewhere, and have some pics of your install, I'd like to see them. You can mail me at wa2fst@aol.com

Thanks!
