Default Really O.T. but I need to use the F* word

Yea this one's a Ford.

I'm trying to help a customer out with a blown 2.3L Ford Ranger .... and my programmer can't get rid of the speed limiter or the enrichment delay in the computer. Any suggestions? Forgive me for using the F word in the Corvette Forum :hurray:

Rangers can't be changed that way (with just a programmer) (AFAIK).

He will actually need to get a Superchip for it. (he can get one through one of the vendors on f150online.com for less than most...)

You can maybe check out http://www.rangerpowersports.com or http://www.fordranger.com Maybe there have been some new things found about programming the ECU without a upgrade chip...

We are superchip dealers. Prob is that the SC will not remove the speed limiter! :mad

They are just registers/variables in the process and Software. You know the name or location (in memory) of what you want to clear/set just force it. If you don't have access to this info it will be tough...
