How do I know what size rim to buy to fit these tires. I see many people are 9.5, but they are on other vet rims. If I buy something from say summit They give different backspacing and lug dimensions. How do I know what to get so it will fit. Does anyone know the ratio's I can go with. Say 5 to 7 inches of backspace and 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 inch bolt circle. I need some help on this one. Have any of you bought??? :crazy:

It depends on which size DRs you buy. If you buy the 275X40X17s they will fit on C5 OEM 17X8.5 front rims.
If you buy the larger 315X35X17s you need at least a 9.5 rim. You can use Z06 front rims which are 9.5 or you can buy after market 17X9.5s or better yet 17X11 rims if you buy 17X11 rims ask for 50mm off set rims.

best bet for the BFG 315-17s are the GS 11" rims and can usually be had for around $300 a pop :cheers:

:iagree: Or buy ZR1 or Gransport C$ 17x9.5 repros. Cheap at Discounttiresdirect or tirerack. Tire Rack preferred since they are a forum sponsor. (I think $167 each or so) I just bought the Z06 front repros for 315 DR's. :cheers:

I am using the Grand Sport 17x11" rims with my 315 BFG DRs. This is a widely used tire/wheel combo. With the 11" wheel, the offset is such that you have to protect your lower rear quarter panels etc. The use of painters trim tape works just fine to protect them (easy on/off).

I am using the ZR-1 rims 17X11 with the 36mm offset for my BFG 315s. I needed em the clear the rear brake duct on the ZO6 and didnt want to take a chance with the Grandsport rims hitting it. Mine stick out maybe a 1/4" at the most. I am probably gonna sell them anyway to upgrade to the CCW ET street package. The tires have about 8 runs on then and lots of tread left. :cheers:

Bfg has announced they are coming out with 18's in D/R in the Spring, might want to wait for them if you can
