Canadian Vettes...What's The Deal?
Is it just me or do the Canadians that are on here have some SWEET cars? Everytime I am checking out someone's web site or just looking at a sig pic of an awesome car I look over to the left and a good number of the people are from Canada! I dunno but I think they have excellent taste and build some KILLER machines :yesnod: or maybe I'm just jealous of everyone's vette on here. :yesnod:

Maybe one thing is that the Canadians have a real winter when most of the cars are garaged. When not driving you will do some work with the car. You Southern guys don't have to worry about that and can drive all around the year, so you don't have this mandatory car checking time... :jester

Strange - well maybe not - but :
More-over, the contingency of nice C3 owners 'north-o-the-border' seem to
be centrally located around the Toronto/Waterloo area of Ontario. Perhaps
due to the geographic location (close to Detroit) ?
I can't recall any CF members from Quebec. Do they have their own CF ??
Several folks are hanging out in western Canada - but sparse enough that
you can't consider them a 'group'.

NH, Dave, 71_75..??? :blueangel: There are a few members here from "La belle Province". As far as the western contingiency... Well... I'd like to see a little more action... But... I'm the (aparently)only Vette North of 60 in the Shark pond!

Quebec is a slightly less populous province than Ontario, with disproportionally less Corvettes per capita - don't know why. The English speaking population is only about 8% so put that all together, there's not too many Quebecers on CF.
I'm not aware of any French language CF equivalents, but who knows?
Thanks for the compliment on our cars!

Hi,
Thanks for the compliment! Having a total of maybe 2 good months :cry of "Vette weather" (i.e. below 30 degrees Celsius and below 100% humidity) here in Quebec means 10 months of tinkering with the vette in the garage!
Ok..maybe that's a slight exaggeration...but the warm weather disappears pretty fast here.

Wow - nice pair, Mike.
I usually reserve that comment for the fairer sex.
I knew there were vettes outside of Ontario - just taunting you out to show 'em off.
... and NO - I'm not trying to start any political Canadian standoffs.
I have to hand it to you guys - It's hard to keep a car in premo shape when
you live in the northern latitudes.

October to April is a write-off. Too cold and of course winter intervenes. May is marginal but usual rains. June is :) . July is too hot and humid. August is OK but may be very hot. September is usually reasonable. October sees the changing of the leaves. That's it, that's all. Winter comes back. Low mileage cars and too much Zaino between drives. What more can I say? You get your driving in when you can. And enjoy immensely! The year is very short. BTW, -20C tonight.....

Re: Canadian Vettes...What's The Deal? (Mystery Machine)
Thanks for the kind words even though i haven't posted any pictures of my car yet, i can tell you it's nice not that many chrome bumper C3's around here and that makes it real sweet when i take it out for a drive. As far the weather goes it was really nice here on Tuesday/Wednesday +8c/45f but winter showed up and it's gonna be -26c/-14f tonight.
