Default I made up my mind - Daves_rusty_75 - no more posting from me

I had a great time hanging out here and learning SO much from a great
group of folks. Also, I have enjoyed the rewards of helping some people to
solve their problems and think 'outside the box'. Lastly, I feel that I've made
at least a few new friends that won't just fade away forever.

I really need more time to work on the vette, so the posting has got to go. :smash:

It's a tough decision, but one I feel must be made to realize my dream of
summer driving. If I DO ever finish my car, I might even drop in to show a
picture or two. I'm really gonna miss you guys - so come over here and
gimme a hug ...
:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Hey!! Who grabbed my butt ? You in the green ?

May you all have many of these  , less of this :smash:  , more of that :) :conehead :) , and that :steering: , but watch out for :troll :troll.
If you need me, I'll be right here: :lurk:

I know lots of you will also be very happy to see me leave. I just don't have
all the new shiny wheels and engines that you guys can afford. I know I've
dragged the C3 forum down a notch be being here ... so ... don't rag on
me :cuss, cause I'm outta here.

You're kidding yourself if you think you drug the forum down any! You inspire the rest of us to deal w/ piddly problems like squeeky brakes, while you carry through tirelessly with stuff like windshield frame rot.

You're welcome any time, the only good excuse you have to go is to spend more time w/ the 'vette! :) That's why the forum exists, to maximize and optimize enjoyment of these cars.

Don't go too far, and save the wave.

What are you talking about leaving you can't leave. I would miss you too much. Please say it isn't so!!!!!
P.S. Red (76) did not sell. Not sure if I am happy about it or not. I have started working on the 79 Brakes are done now to the easy stuff. I will have that car completely done in a few weeks. Then I might rip into the 76 again, drop in the 4spd the 3:55 rear end and look for a 400+ crate engine I think I might just go crazy with it.
Serious Man drop back in now and then and give us a couple pics and a update.

I may try to drop in on you in NH this summer.

Bob

Dave,

All of these cars are in different stages of life to semi-life. I could care less who has the best Vette here... although I do have the winning ticket on that '03 Gold Vette. I look across this forum and see some of the really nice cars and say WOW!! But, that's it. It's all a frame of mind of where you see the car you have. If you enjoy what you are attempting to do it is all worth it. Hopefully you will get there.

No reason to drop off the forum... I hope you stay.

Oh, you can't afford all that stuff? :banghead: I can barely put gas in my car each week, bro. You don't bring the forum down, you give it life.

Post whenever you can, let us know how the car is coming. Take care! :seeya

Dave, I've always thought you were probably one of the hardest working vette owners I had ever heard of. Not too many people would take on a project like yours. DEFINITLEY let us get a look at her when she's done. :yesnod:

Have fun man! STAY WARM!!!!

Well Dave, it works just the opposite for me. When I start working on my Vette that's when my post count goes up. :lolg:  I got a million questions. If your post count goes down, that means you know what you're doing. :D

Dave , if the forum gets in your way and keeps you from working on your car, then only check in once or twice a week, or are you totally addicted? :) As far as leaving because your car isn't shiny glossy paint or whatever, i've had my vette for 6 1/2 yrs and still not totally done, mostly held up for lack of funds, my family comes first. your decision either way, we'll be here. good luck and be careful!

You can't leave, you're addicted like the rest of us! I haven't seen any instance that you've brought the C3 forum down! Now get out there and work on the car and be back here tonight!

Dave

Just drop by once a week or so and keep us informed on your progress. I know you will need to have more questions so I expect your hiatus to be short lived. If not take care.
