Default Summit billet electric fuel pump..this ok?

I am in the process of redoing my fuel system, and was originally looking at using a Holley Blue Electric pump 110gph/14psi.
I came across this pump and it is 140gph/18psi and only 30 dollars more than the Holley unit. Are there any reliability problems with Summit pumps? I am running a nitrous kit this spring and do not want any meltdowns.
Any information you would have on this pump would be greatly appreciated.
Also, who manufactures these??

Thanks

I would go with a Mallory unit. Dont go Holley. They are really noisy.

I havent run a summit pump but I have had plenty of holley pumps and they are LOUD and ANNOYING. My last holley pump I tried to silence it by putting some rubber insulators between the pump and frame but that didnt work so I wrapped the whole pump in carpet padding and that killed most of the noise but also made my pump run very hot. I have had good luck with the mallory pumps and regulators except one regulator that litterally blew upa nd sent fuel all over my motor.

QuickVet Thanks, i will look at the Mallory units.

lason Noise factor is not a huge consideration, hopefully i can find someone using one in my area so i can hear it first hand, thanks for the heads up.

smokin75-427&74VETTE I will check out this unit further, I was hoping to stay under 200 dollars, I guess you need to pay to play :D

So no-one has any experiance with the Summit pump?
I suppose i will call them to inquire, for some reason i doubt i'll get much help there. :smash:

vetdrms-Holley "Black" 140gpm Jegs or Summit, 139.99 w/o reg. You can p/u a Holley reg. cheap at your local speed shop ect. This pump can also handle any future mods you may want to try. :chevy

Just to give you an idea of how loud the pump was. It was on my '88 mustang coupe and as far as exhaust, it had BBK longtube headers into a custom X pipe , no cats, with two Dynomax bullet mufflers dumped before the rear end, so the car was LOUD :D but I could still hear the pump turning while the car was idleing and revving.
