Default Rear window molding.

How do you remove the metal molding around the window of a 79 vette? I am trying to do a good job removing the paint on my vette and this has got to come off.

What is involved?

Thanks,
Aaron :chevy

You need to buy a trim removal tool from napa or some other part outlet. Maybe $5.00-7.00 dollars. It looks like a big Y. It slides underneath the trim and you release the tabs holding the trim. I broke a few when I did it though, but I am doing a frame off and replaced them when I had the glass out.

I just went to a windshield repair shop. They gladly did it for me free. The chance to touch a C3, you know.
