What's the best treatment to use to protect weatherstripping?
The car has been in the garage since the restoration, and I haven't used anything yet on the new weatherstripping to preserve and condition it. What does everyone use on theirs? Thanks in advance! :steering:

Stay with GM. This product works very well. It takes about three days to soak in but you never have to worry about that rubber again. About $3.00 at your GM dealer.

Thanks, I'll head over to the dealer this weekend and see if they have any! :steering:

we always use dielectric grease at our chevy dealership. The problem with that silicone emulsion stuff is the rubbing pad on it always gets clogged up with a few swipes. Then its pretty hard to get the stuff to come out, you can buy a huge tube of silicone grease for less than $3, and its much easier to spread on there.
