My vote is for a C-5. You have the 68 to race and a nice 97+ would make a nice daily driver. :jester

I was thinking in a 97 or 98 C5... I could get one for less than $20k...

Tkae the money, buy the duntov from the insurance co and bring it back to it's former glory, I know I would. This is a rare car, c5's are a dime a dozen

If you decide to go the C5 route I would try to swing at least an 01, as the earlier ones seemed to have a lot more problems. :yesnod:

market ... no time like the present
Yepperzzz :iagree: Like HE said! Put half into a driver, and half into the market. Buy a no-load fund that you don't need to baby sit like a handful of stocks. Just my .02 (which is about all I have in the market now)

Sounds like a good idea... I can sell my driver (Dodge Intrepid) and - together with the money from the Vette - I could buy a 98 Z-28 Convertible and will still have $10k left for the stock market...

Looks like a nice Camaro. But if you got a peppy daily driver then you'd start dropping money in that instead of the '68. "Well I drive it everyday, so I might as well open up the exhaust..." and "Well I drive it everyday, and might as well make it more fun by upgrading suspension/wheels/etc" Ugh. Ask me how I know about that game. (click on my "daily driver" eclipse link in my sig! D'oh!

I'm with twin turbo. If you don't want to tackle it, tell me who the insurance co. is and I'll look at it myself.

I drive a '98 Trans Am and while it is my baby, and I absolutly love the LS1, it is still an F-body. The F-bod's were built like crap, they all develop squeaks and rattles even with subframe connectors and just basically fall apart. I dont know how well made the vettes are considering I just bought my first one and havent been able to drive it yet but I would DEFFINETLY get a C5 before an F-bod (unless it is a 1st generation camaro).

Olivier - I owned a '99 Camaro from new to totaled and it was the worst investment I ever made. Getting wrecked was the best thing that could have happened to that car, injuries to my wife notwithstanding. :U:chevy:smash:
