Lasse and 69MyWay? Are a couple that fits that description. There are a couple other really cool looking black chrome bumper 'vettes here on the forum, but I don't remember if they have sidepipes or not.

no, mine has no roll bars....and i swear they haven't been touched up...just a really sunny day and good angles.. :thumbs:

Black Chrome??? sounds vaguely familiar....is it actually BLACK?? or what's going on??? there is gun bluing....hot dipped is better than that cold touch up stuff....does it work on chrome???

I"d kinda like to do something with the traditional chrome on my car...
but also blend in the aluminum window trim and rocker panels....

any suggestions???

In the past I have had some black chrome work done on some custom rifles I built . It is very nice and looks like chrome but it is jet shiny black .

ramfire, OK, so is it a chemical dip that takes a good size HOT tank??or something cold applied???or just exactly how is it done??? does it promote rust??? have to clean the chrome off first...in reality....
can it be done in a say brushed chrome....maybe a sandblasted look???

looking for something differant than just painted chrome...
something about 1/2 way durable...not any paint scheme.....

frankly I"m thinking of fabbing up some bunpers from aluminum stock....
