???'s about T top for a 78
I am trying to help a friend who recently bought a 78 Silver Anniversary. The drivers side top accidentally got broken, so he picked up a matching set (with frames) that had the passenger side one cracked, plus a pair of solid tops without frames. He plans to pull the two broken tops apart and install the solid tops on the frames. Is this possibly a DIY fix and just how much work is it or should be left to someone who has experience. TIA &

I know the C4 ones can be done (but I don't know how difficult it is) so I guess he just assumed the C3 tops could be done too. I'll have to get a look at the solid tops this week to see what they look like with out the frames.

If your talking about glass T-tops, their different frames from the fiberglass solid tops, so I don't think you'd want to try this. Plus it is best to let an expert repair broken tinted glass tops. IMHO
