Default Too cold to work on the Vette,so I made a web page instead.

Check it out,and let me in on a few tips. I'm not a PC guru, but I thaught I'd give it a stab.I'd like to know how to put in links to different areas, instead of having every thing on the main page, and maybe some flashy amination too!

Looks good! Great pics :) The purple background isn't quite my style though ;)

One tip: use
after a pic or text so that the text or pic doesn't appear side by side. br = break.

Constructive criticism?

The purple is hard on the eyes. The pictures should be scaled down to make it easier on those diansaurs that don't have broadband.

Nice car though! :seeya

I never thaught about the bandwidth issue, the cable modem I have rocks! What size do you think I need to scale the pictures to?They're 1008x768 now.

Thanks for putting up the info on the wheels and tires. That is very helpful to me. Leave the pictures. They are fine. Get a cable modem people :)

How the heck are you making all that power?

Looks good!!!

I ussually use either 640x320 for the pics. Still decent size and not to bad on the bandwidth.

If you are using something like Frontpage (or MS-Word) it's easy to create additional pages and link to them. Just create the page. On the first page but a title to it, hit Ctrl-K or right click and select Hyperlink, and just select the new page from the file list. But not sure what app you are using to create it.

Good start!

Good job. The purple doesn't bother me and only the scanned insert took a while to load and I'm on dial-up.

I like it. Pretty good read and those are really good numbers on your car. I like the colors and the pics are good sized. But I do have a cable modem. Makes all but the biggest pictures easy to load.

I can't help you on the page. I do not know anything about them. All my pics are on my main page too.

Looks good to me, but my desktop resolution is 1280x1024 and I have a nice large monitor. I'd only suggest shrinking the pictures by "thumbnailing" them.

A la

< img src="my_pic.jpg" width="300" height="200" >

will display the picture scaled down to 300x200 instead of say, 900x600.

The pics are slightly too large now. I try to keep mine to no more then 800 pixels wide. There are still a whole lot of people out there with small monitors. Keep them in mind. Find a friend with a small monitor and then preveiw your page on their monitor. Kind of like building for the lowest common denominator.

It looks like you are off to a good start. The only way create cool pages is just to play around and practice with different things. :yesnod:

I haven't played with webpages too much, but I created a nice one mostly by looking at other sites and stealing their setups and formats. Check it out in my signature if you want.

Sweet Ride and Great Job on the site. Looks fine to me although I'm sure the pics would hurt the Dialuppers :cry
