Default Dash and Console wiring...

How did all of you insulate your firewall without getting in the way of the wires?

Also, I am having a heck of a time trying to get the large electrical-wrapped wires (with the ignition on it) moved into place on the steering wheel shaft. How did all of you do this? Any pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Also, does the upper dash pad clip directly to the metal frame surrounding the bottom of the windshield?

As I recall, you'd have to take off all the pillar moldings and of course the screws at the front lower of the upper pad. Then carefully push up. In my 72 there was a bracket and screw at the right side near the windshield that had to come out before the pad could be lifted any significant amount.
