69 Restoration question
I'm getting ready to install a reconditioned blower/heater box back in the engine compartment to the firewall. Were these origionally painted as part of the engine compartment black out or were they installed later and left their natural fiberglass finish?
Thanks

Have you checked the factory correct restoration forum? They're your best audience for that kind of a question.

Re: 69 Restoration question (Steve Straus)
After the body left the paint booth and dried it went straight to the black out operation. Very little in the way of trim and brackets, etc were installed. So the answer to your question is no the a/c box is natural. Usaully when owners or used car people are trying to spruce up the engine compartment, they paint the top of the box black along with alot of other bits and pieces! Thad
