Default centerforce clutch ?

Does anyone have any experience with this type of clutch? There is a wire ring threaded through small blocks of metal with another steel ring around that which also floats on the fingers of the pressure plate. Anyway I was wondering if I can run this without that "bracelet looking gizmo"

The bracelet looking gizmo is to add more force to the pressure plate at high RPM. The springs on the clutch are a bit weaker than stock and this is compensated for by the weights. That way, you can have a clutch that doesn't build your leg up so large that it won't fit in your pant leg (standard vette clutch), but will grip plenty well anyway. My centerforce clutch was noticeably easier to push than the old one.

The answer is no.

This is a Center Force design that incorporates low pedal pressure with high clamping force. If you do not like the weights go with another type of clutch that uses extreme pedal pressure to get the clamping force you need.

Why mess with a proven design.

Center Force offers 3 different combinations of clutches, pick the one for your use.

I"ve got a real bad vibrationin the driveline somewhere, so I pulled the trans./ flywheel to look for culprits, noticed that the "bracelet" was off center with a noticeable grove there. That would throw the balance off ????

Oh yeah! I am sure it would. Send it/take it back and complain and get them to replace it.

I burned out my centerforce DF clutch in about 5k miles. Went really quick when it did too. :( But I went with what worked and installed a new one. I am curious what is better out there though. I don't care about leg cramps.
