I love these hoods! Does anyone here know if anyone makes an aftermarket repoduction of it? I have heard that Ecklers and others don't carry it anymore (is Ecklers a supporting vendor??? If not I am sorry I mentioned them :lol: ). Is there any extra underhood clearance?

John, I picked one up for my car right here on the forum. I kept checking the for sale section and got a nice hood with the inserts in the hood already. It is the wrong color but I have been tickled with it. I have the Edlebrock Performer intake and a Holley Street Avenger carb and the stock air cleaner and have about 1 - 1 1/2 clearance. I used some putty to determine how much clearance I had, but when I saw how much it was I didn`t measure it. I could see that it was plenty.

This picture was taken last Feb. when I got the hood. It is now on the car and still red. My whole car needs painting. There is no mistaking my car when you see it.

I like that hood Eddie. I would like to have one of those myself, but for right now I got to replace the radiator. Only 2 more years and I'll have a brand new 77 at the rate I'm going. :lol: :lol: :lol:
