Default Help identifying electrical garbage

Can you identify either of these parts for me?

The first is a plug coming out of the wiring harness behind the left head. Its a round plug that apparently was designed to connect to something...

This is my least favorite part of my corvette. I am afraid of it & try not to stare directly at it. I pretend it is invisible. There is close to an entire role of electrical tape in this part of the car. There is another round electrical plug that should be connected to something -- almost looks like a bulb connector. The second circle, well is this supposed to be my horn buzzer? :skep:

The pictures are much too dark for me to tell. Two things would help. Am I to assume its a 74, and give me the colors of the wires. I would say that the first one is one of the temp sender plugs if it has a green wire. The second? I cant tell. The third is the high speed AC fuse holder.

The brown wire in the second picture in the top circle looks like it is the brake differential pressure connection. There is a single round terminal that sticks out on the side of proportioning block (I know it's not really a proportioning block/valve) that terminal is supposed to tell you if there is a pressure differential between your front and back brake systems. If you hook it up and your brake warning light comes on, (same light that is turned on by the parking brake) then you probably need to bleed your brakes.

I thought the horn relay was in that area for the early years ... but not sure.
Wire colors definitely help.

The "gizmo" that you're holding in your fingers looks like the horn relay/key buzzer. It should be mounted with a small nut on a stud located on the drivers side inner fender....under the fender lip. See if you see a stud back there. Chuck
