Can someone tell me how to retro the sport mirrors into my 75 the inner door shield doesnt have the holes to allow me to put the nuts on the mirrors and I cannot see how to drill it. who has done this and how did you do it ? Thanks .... :smash:

I installed 77 sports on my 75.Installed mirror through door to see position of studs,drilled holes for 7/16 socket to slide through and installed nuts.Not hard,just take your time.Seems like I just had to inlarge 2 holes. :thumbs:

I did the same thing. J75 described the technique in a nutshell. I had the glass out of my door at the time, so I just torched a single hole to allow access to everything. Be careful if you use a torch around f-glass though.

I installed sport mirrors on my car some time ago as described above...and have not done the interior lever yet, as I don't have a chrome bezel and nut to secure it, much less determine a good positiion for it...


sort of wondering if any car used the same shape and had electric motors for position.....I think tha't the way to go....
