Timeless 5 wheels just came in!!
These wheels look great. I am going to take a picture in just a second. I was wondering what type of lug nuts to buy. Does anyone have any suggestions on lug nuts that would work and look good with these rims? I also do not know what size lugs I need for the 71 anyone have that info?

Here are the pics for ya. I am not sure on the size but I think the forum should knock them down if need be.

Wow nice wheels :)
As for lugnuts, I'd say use the ones chevy used on the alu corvette rims.
Now go and put them under your car and tkae pics so we can appreciate how they look on your vette :)

Those are the same wheels I was just admiring in someone else's sig thinking they'd look real neat on a blue '73. What size/offset did you get? I might try and pick up a set of 17"s if I can get away without using spacers. :)

They are 17x8 inch wheels with a 4 inch backspacing. They are suppose to fit without spacers. I will get pics of them on my car the minute I get my car back from the shop. It is still getting fixed from the wreck in August.

Lookin'
I ordered mine on 12/5. I hope to have them within a couple of weeks. How long did it take to get yours from the time you ordered?
As for lug nuts...quite frankly, I think it is very lame that you didn't get any. Just my opinion. I guess I'm used to dealing with companies like Fikse and HRE (where 17" wheels are usually ~$700+/ea), but some nice polished lug nuts should be included when you buy Boyds, too. :mad
I went with 9.5" wide for the rears...hopefully it will all work out. :)

I went to a local speed shop and bought a set of gorilla brand nuts. every single one is keyed and requires a special socket to remove. You can buy extra sockets. A friend said, "at the tire shop we just pound an oversize socket around those things to get them off" but since these are recessed, an oversized socket wont fit in the hole. Unless you have the key, there is no way to get them off. DONT LOSE THE KEY.

Wow, those are really nice. I think they are probably my favorite wheels for the C3. And the TT's are a very close 2nd. Wish I could find some cheap used ones on eBay. :yesnod:

Those are pretty cool looking, groovy. You should be able to get the lug nuts you need when you take the wheels in to have the tires mounted.

Thanks for all the comments. Yeah, I cannot wait till my car gets done. It will be better than ever when I get it back with these wheels on it. I found some lugs made by gorilla that I will probably use with the wheels. They are acorn tuner style lugs and the whole set is keyed. If you go to the gorilla site and look under the part 1 of there catalog they are one page 15. Here is the link http://www.gorilla-auto.com/pdfs/part1.pdf. They are the 7/16 lugs part number 21173HT. I talked to someone from Gorilla and they said they should work.
